Casamigos
Born from an idea of George Clooney and his friends, Casamigos is the result of a shared passion for authentic experiences and the unique flavor of tequila. Although the landscape may seem unusual for an e-commerce dedicated to wine, this premium tequila fits perfectly into our selection for those seeking a sensory journey that goes beyond the traditional wine glass. Located in the United States, but with its production heart in Mexico, Casamigos celebrates the beauty and art of blue agave, cultivated in the fertile lands of Jalisco.
The production philosophy of Casamigos is intrinsically linked to a lifestyle approach that combines smoothness and refinement. Every drop of this delightful tequila is the result of a meticulous processing method and an almost artisanal attention to detail. The Reposado of Casamigos, in particular, stands out for its velvety character and the complex aromas of caramel and chocolate that caress the palate, offering a tasting experience that is hard to forget.
We invite all lovers of oenological excellence and quality spirits to discover on Vino45 the intriguing universe of Casamigos. A collection that tells stories of friendship, distant lands, and the magic that only an authentic product can offer.

THE DISTILLATE
The 'Tequila Anejo' by Casamigos is produced in the highlands of the Mexican region of Jalisco, with a careful selection of 7-9 year old blue Weber agave plants. The bouquet expresses soft notes of caramel, vanilla, spices, dried fruit aromas, and agave. The taste is warm and seductive, complex and deep, expressing aromas of vanilla, soft spices, and typical notes of fresh agave. THE DISTILLERY
Casamigos is what happens when friends on vacation in Mexico set out to create the perfect sip of the Tequila they love so much. If those two friends are George Clooney and Rande Gerber, what arises from a simple idea is one of the most interesting spirit productions in recent years. The convivial vocation of Casamigos is already apparent from its name, a House of Friends, where the passion for the Mexican tradition of good drinking and good living is shared. Thus began a long and patient journey of continuous tastings and improvements, which has turned summer evenings sipping Tequila in good company into an almost confidential production of excellence.
The story of Casamigos originates in the western highlands of the Mexican state of Jalisco, where the rich red clay soil hosts blue agave crops. The plants over 5 years old are then selected and hand-pruned to obtain the piña, the sugary heart of the agave. The piñas are then gently cooked in masonry ovens for over 72 hours, unlike the traditional 7-hour roasting used by the major regional distilleries. For fermentation, Casamigos also stands out for its patient waiting time, almost double that of the traditional process. At the end of the aging period, which takes place in steel or American oak barrels depending on the variety, George and Rande “sign” their labels as a sign of approval.
Casamigos speaks of patient perfectionism, which sip by sip has given rise to soft and balanced bottles, enjoyable both mixed in cocktails and on the rocks, without the need to cover the taste with lime or salt. Recognition from international awards has not been long in coming, crowning Casamigos distillates among the most atypical and promising productions in the landscape of Mexican spirits. The Casamigos adventure is a reverse journey: starting from the desire to have the perfect drink to enjoy with friends on summer evenings and leading to sharing the relaxed and authentic atmosphere of a Mexican vacation with the public.
At the base of it all is a strict and meticulous selection of raw materials, for which only the best blue Weber agave plants - with their spiky blue leaves - are chosen to produce the “Olmeca Altos” Tequila.
Harvested at over 2,000 meters above sea level, on volcanic soil rich in mineral salts, the agave plants are cut by hand only after reaching eight years of age. Subsequently, after splitting the leaves in two, the cooking process takes place in brick ovens and lasts for three days. Once the cooking is completed, the agave is crushed and pressed, and then left to ferment with only indigenous yeasts. The fermented juice then undergoes a double distillation process in copper stills, before being bottled for “Blanco” Tequila or aged in barrels for “Reposado” Tequila.
The result is a distillate capable of reaching very high quality standards, that is, a Tequila that rightfully belongs on the list of the best Tequilas in all of Mexico.
