Venezia Giulia IGT 'Ego' 2018 (750 ml.) Bressan

'Ego' by Bressa is the result of the experience, expertise, and knowledge of this winery. It is signed by the producer by hand on each individual bottle. A blend of the international Cabernet Franc and the indigenous Schioppettino, it is made from pure grapes of the same name grown in Farra d'Isonzo from vines over 30 years old. In the vineyard, only a little copper and sulfur are used, and the grapes are harvested in a slightly late vintage and taken to the winery for a slow fermentation in steel. It rests for at least three years in oak barrels and for 15 months in the bottle. A complex and unique bouquet, composed of aromas of underbrush, hints of pepper and moss, with references to truffle and aromatic wood. On the palate, it is full, intense, and velvety, rich and long-lasting in persistence.

Nestled in the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the winery Bressan is a stronghold of authenticity and winemaking tradition. Here, where the gentle hills blend with the fresh breezes of the Adriatic, grapes are passionately cultivated, telling the story of a generous and mysterious land. The IGT Venezia Giulia designation is the stage on which Bressan showcases its wine spectacle, a sensory journey rooted in ancient practices and uncompromising methods.

The production philosophy of Bressan is a hymn to nature and craftsmanship. Each glass is the result of a process that respects the natural cycle, where the hand of man guides wisely and sensitively. The grapes, including the distinctive Schioppettino and the refined Pinot Grigio, are cultivated using traditional methods, without invasive interventions, to preserve the essence of the terroir and the purity of varietal expression.
