Irpinia Aglianico DOCG 2019 (750 ml.) Bellaria

Irpinia Aglianico di Bellaria is a red wine of great character and elegance, a symbol of the production philosophy of the winery and the highest expression of the Aglianico grape. It comes from a careful selection of hand-picked grapes from ancient vineyards located in the Taurasi area, between Paternopoli and Montemiletto, regions suited for altitude, soil, and climate. The vinification takes place in steel, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging for at least 12 months in French oak barriques, which gives the wine structure and finesse. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of cherry, sour cherry, and sweet spices. The palate is rich, balanced, and persistent, with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and a harmonious finish. With aging, it develops orange reflections and an increasingly profound bouquet. Perfect paired with roasts, game, lamb, and aged hard cheeses.

Here, among sun-kissed hills and soils rich in history, Bellaria has rooted its commitment to enhancing indigenous grape varieties, offering an authentic expression of the Campanian terroir.

The Sannio DOC region, with its deeply rooted wine culture, represents the perfect stage for Bellaria. Among the cultivated varieties, Falanghina and Aglianico stand out, two grape symbols of this land that, in the skilled hands of the producers at Bellaria, transform into labels of rare intensity.

The Falanghina from Bellaria captivates with its vibrant freshness and fruity notes that evoke images of citrus and white flowers, while the Aglianico is distinguished by its robust structure and hints of berries and spices. Both wines carry in the glass the genuine imprint of a respectful processing of traditions, which enhances the unique character of these grapes.
