THE COMPANY
The history of the winery Massolino began in 1896, the year Giovanni founded the company in Serralunga d'Alba. However, the first real winery was built by Giuseppe, Giovanni's son, who, together with his sister Angela, expanded the property by annexing other lands and in 1934 founded the Barolo and Barbaresco protection consortium. Giovanni, Camilla, and Renato, three of Giuseppe's children, brought the company to a turning point, thanks to the purchase of cru that have become true legends among enthusiasts: Vigna Rionda, Margheria, and Parafada.
Today, the company is led by brothers Franco and Roberto Massolino, assisted by their uncle Renato and Giovanni Angeli. Their work condenses the experience of an entire generation and the ambition of those who know they must honor a historic winery and a unique terroir, that of Serralunga d'Alba. In this picturesque medieval village, located on one of the beautiful hills of the Langhe, in the heart of the Barolo production area, the life of the winery Massolino thrives, now an essential national reference point for the production of top-quality wines.
