The 'Lindenburg' by Alois Lageder is a pure Lagrein, from vines that are over 50 years old grown in organic farming. It originates from the area called 'In Villa', where the Lindenburg palace stands, and extends over the lands that border the banks of the Talvera river. It has always been considered one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of Lagrein in South Tyrol. After spontaneous fermentation, the maturation phase takes place in barrique, for a total duration of about 15 months. This is followed by bottle aging. A wine with an intense bouquet of ripe red fruit, chocolate, leather, and spices. Powerful body with a beautiful structure, defined by a tannic texture excellently integrated with fresh notes and a slightly almondy finish.

Truly synonymous with excellence, Alois Lageder has over the years demonstrated the best that South Tyrol can express in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. A result born from a clear vision of its work, where every activity is closely linked to others in a virtuous circle that has found completion in the biodynamic conversion of its owned vineyards.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: “quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all processing phases we first seek to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature.” It is no coincidence that each wine manages, like few others in the region, to tell the ever-changing characteristics of its vineyard of origin - South Tyrol is indeed an extremely rich land in terms of soil variety, microclimatic zones, and exposures, which therefore offers the ideal conditions to produce wines with a marked individuality. The grapes harvested from the family-owned vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and the area of Caldaro, are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods certified by Demeter. Moreover, in addition to managing its owned vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winemakers from different areas of South Tyrol, vineyards that collectively extend over another 110 hectares, about a quarter of which is cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born that are true ambassadors of the territory, white and red wines of great charm that make up an assortment composed of three quality levels: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, and the Masi.
