Chianti Rùfina Riserva 'Nipozzano' by Frescobaldi is produced in the heart of Rùfina, the most renowned area of Chianti. The ‘Nipozzano’ originates from the famous Castello di Nipozzano, located about 300 meters above sea level. The grapes, predominantly Sangiovese, are complemented by small quantities of traditional varieties (Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and are grown in stony soils rich in minerals. After manual harvesting, the winemaking process takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by aging in oak barrels for 24 months and bottle maturation. In appearance, it is intense ruby red. On the nose, it expresses notes of cherry, berries, black pepper, and tobacco. The palate is elegant, fresh, and structured, with smooth tannins and a long and savory finish. A great Tuscan classic, perfect with roasts, game, and aged cheeses.
