The Brunello di Montalcino from Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is wonderful but still young and you need to wait a few years to enjoy it at its peak; it will last for many years in the cellar. Maturation in Slavonian oak barrels for about 3 years. Clear and clean in the mouth, it proves warm and long in persistence. Already very attractive, think about it in 5 years.

Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona
In the heart of Tuscany, among the enchanted hills of Montalcino, lies the historic estate Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona. A name that resonates like a hymn to elegance and precision, this winery represents the perfect blend of noble tradition and oenological innovation. Its origins intertwine with the very history of the territory, where vineyards caress soft hills, creating a landscape that seems to have come straight out of a Renaissance painting.
The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG denomination is the banner of this winery, which skillfully and passionately transforms Sangiovese grapes into a nectar of extraordinary refinement. The production philosophy of Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is based on the search for the perfect balance between man and nature, respecting seasonal rhythms and maximizing the unique characteristics of the Tuscan terroir.
The Brunello Pianrosso, the flagship wine of the winery, embodies the very essence of Montalcino: a red of rare complexity and depth, with intense aromas that evoke ripe berries, sweet spices, and delicate earthy notes. On the palate, it reveals itself with elegance and a robust structure, promising a fascinating evolution over time.

THE WINE
The Brunello di Montalcino by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is wonderful but still young, and you need to wait a few years to enjoy it at its peak; it will last for many years in the cellar. Maturation takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for about 3 years. Clear and clean in the mouth, it shows warmth and a long persistence. Already very attractive, just think about it in 5 years.
THE COMPANY
The Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona estate in Montalcino boasts a long history that dates back to the 17th century.
The company, now owned by Paolo and Lucia Bianchini, has over fifty hectares of vineyards located near the Orcia River, excellently exposed to the southwest, at an altitude ranging from 240 to 360 meters above sea level. The great attention paid to grape production is the result of an ancient agricultural tradition, combined with increasingly updated and cutting-edge agronomic methods and techniques. Among the rows, the dominant variety is obviously the sangiovese grosso, a specific biotype of sangiovese exclusive to Montalcino, which in the case of the vineyards of the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona estate grows on soils highly suited to viticulture and is cultivated in full respect of the environment and ecosystem, resulting in simply exceptional grapes. Bunches that transform in the cellar into equally excellent labels. To adapt to the continuous evolutions of the wine sector, the Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona currently has three distinct cellars: one dedicated to aging the finest wines, a second that serves as the official headquarters of the business - where vinification takes place and where the administrative offices and the shop for the sale and tasting of the wines are located - and finally a recently acquired one, where the new designation of origin “Montecucco Sangiovese” is produced.
The result of all this is wines that are instantly recognizable among thousands, characterized by an elegant and refined style. From Rosso di Montalcino to Brunello, passing through “Fabivs” and “Ateo” up to distilled spirits, these are labels that come from the Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona, modern and contemporary but, at the same time, capable of preserving the deep charm of authenticity of an area that, for decades, has upheld the prestige of all Italian oenology and viticulture.
