Hofstätter is, perhaps, the largest private winery in South Tyrol. A legendary wine cellar, for some synonymous South Tyrol and expressive purity, the one founded in 1907 by Josef Hofstätter has actually always been able to combine technique and passion, big numbers and quality consistency, conducted with a pragmatism and an iron logic combining commercial interest and respect for the territory. A wine cellar with a workforce of some 50 hectares of land on which are cultivated all the most typical varieties of the region. In fact, thanks to the multiplicity of exposures, are excellent conditions for growth and maturation both white grapes that red grapes. Gewürztraminer from the pinot blanc, pinot black, the Lagrein and the slave there is variety which, once vinified, can not be considered as an example of absolute regional excellence. A single work and meticulous, now managed by the fourth generation-great-grandson of founder Martin Foradori Hofstätter.
The Trocken Riesling, Dr. Fischer Backsteinhof of Hofstätter is the driest ever version of Riesling. A white characterized by an important acidity and great balance, deep, which expresses the best territorial characteristics. Excellent as an aperitif or with shellfish, soft cheeses, risotto and fish.
The Meczan of Hofstätter, Pinot Noir in purity, comes from Mazzon vineyards, home of the best Italian Pinot Noir. The Meczan is a very typical wine, suitable for a consumer who wishes above all softness, fragrance and a marked fruity character. Perfect with roast meats, game and aged cheeses.Technical sheet
