Lugana Superiore DOP 'Madonna della Scoperta' 2022 (750 ml.) Perla del Garda

Lugana Superiore DOP 'Madonna della Scoperta' by Perla del Garda is a structured and elegant white wine, the result of a careful selection of pure Turbiana grown on the morainic hills south of Lake Garda. The grapes come from historic vineyards near the sanctuary of Madonna della Scoperta, an area particularly suited for clay-limestone soils. The winemaking process involves gentle pressing, controlled temperature fermentation, and aging for 18 months, part in steel and part in oak tonneaux, to enhance structure and complexity. This is followed by further aging in bottle. In the glass, it reveals a golden yellow color, with aromas of ripe fruit, candied citrus, sweet spices, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is rich, savory, with good persistence and an elegant finish. Ideal with flavorful fish dishes, white meats, or aged cheeses.

Perla del Garda

Among the gentle morainic hills of Lake Garda, one of the most fascinating wine production realities of Lombardy comes to life: Perla del Garda. This winery, entirely family-run, represents the authentic soul of the territory of Lonato del Garda, where tradition merges with innovation and respect for the land becomes a productive philosophy.

Perla del Garda is synonymous with high-quality wine, produced exclusively from estate-grown grapes and vinified by gravity, a rarity in the Italian landscape. The result? Clean, elegant, structured wines that can tell the uniqueness of the Gardesano terroir in every sip.

The flagship is the Lugana DOC, vinified from hand-selected Turbiana grapes. Freshness, minerality, and longevity make it one of the noblest expressions of the denomination. But the range is rich and surprising: from the refined Metodo Classico to the sumptuous Rinascimento Rosso, including experiments in amphora and single vineyard crus.

On Vino45, you can discover the entire selection of Perla del Garda, with fast shipping and dedicated customer service. A true wine gem to bring to the table.Address:

Color: bright golden yellow, with intense reflections, indicative of a good evolution in the bottle and careful aging. The visual density suggests structure and maturity.

Bouquet: rich and layered aromatic profile: it opens with notes of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit - peach, apricot, and melon - followed by candied citrus hints and touches of aromatic herbs. Then aromas of withered flowers, acacia honey, and almond emerge, with slight mineral and spicy nuances that testify to the wine's evolution over time.

Taste: full and enveloping, supported by a well-balanced freshness and marked sapidity, typical of the clayey-limestone soils of the area. The structure is significant, with a long-lasting and coherent taste persistence that aligns with the olfactory sensations: fruity returns and an elegant almond note in the finish. The wood aging (if present, even partial) contributes to softness and depth without overshadowing the varietal identity of Turbiana.
