THE COMPANY

Podere Sapaio: A new interpreter of Bolgheri.
The farm Podere Sapaio was founded in 1999. The 40 hectares are divided between the towns of Castagneto Carducci and Bibbona.

Podere Sapaio has a philosophy of experimentation and innovation is to seek new expressions of the Bordeaux vineyards in Bolgheri, with the aim to produce wines that combine power, elegance and longevity


Soils
They are found on quaternary deposits, from rough loose sandy beds to flood deposits with draining calcareous soils.

The vines
There the Bordeaux origin grape varieties that are grown in the last fifty years have established themselves in the area: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Other varieties are present in small quantities. They are part of 'company also several hectares planted with olive trees, varieties of Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino.
