Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Barone di Valforte is made from Montepulciano grapes harvested during the last ten days of September and vinified alone. Fermented in steel, where it then matures for a few months. It maintains a beautiful fruit integrity, expressing all the best varietal and terroir peculiarities to the fullest. Floral and fruity, in which hints of geranium combine with hints of blackberry, plum and berries, and are enriched by pleasant spicy nuances of pink pepper. Nice balance between freshness, tannins and flavor. Good persistence. It is a very good Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
