Langhe DOC 'Monsordo' Ceretto is a red wine with a international profile, born in the Tenuta Monsordo Bernardina in Alba. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, it is vinified separately in steel and aged for 16 months in French oak tonneau, which impart softness, harmony, and woody notes. On the nose, it releases marasca, wild berries, cherry in alcohol, jam, and spices. On the palate, it is complex, structured, and enveloping, with integrated tannins, balanced freshness, and a long and spicy finish. Excellent paired with red meats, braised dishes, game, aged cheeses, and spicy dishes with a strong flavor. An elegant wine that tells the story of the Langhe with a contemporary spirit.

Color: intense ruby red, deep and bright, with youthful violet reflections that suggest liveliness and evolutionary potential.
Bouquet: broad and rich, dominated by notes of ripe sour cherry, small forest fruits in jam, spirit-soaked cherry, and plum. Sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon emerge, followed by delicate toasted and woody nuances, a result of long aging in French oak tonneau.
Taste: structured, soft, and enveloping. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, accompanied by a balanced freshness that supports drinkability. The persistence is long, with spicy and fruity returns that finish elegantly.

THE PHILOSOPHY
Our vineyards are cultivated according to the model of organic farming, which avoids the excessive exploitation of natural resources, following a sustainable development model for nature and for humanity that can endure over time.
The term Organic Farming indicates a cultivation method that allows only the use of natural substances, i.e., those found in nature, excluding the use of synthetic chemical substances (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides). All of our vineyards (totaling 160 hectares) have been converted to organic farming since 2010. This revolutionary choice fundamentally changes the management methods of the vineyards, aimed at greater respect for the soil, the grapes, and humanity. In 2016, we obtained certification with the 2015 harvest, and the first organic wines were bottled.
THE COMPANY
Selecting the vineyards in historically valid positions was the goal of the two brothers Bruno and Marcello Ceretto. This idea, derived from a trip to Burgundy, would ultimately benefit the family and make the wines Barolo and Barbaresco among the most appreciated in the world. A revolution, at the time, for a territory where the concept of cru was entirely unknown, but, above all, a brilliant intuition. A true struggle, theirs, undertaken with their father Riccardo, who bought the grapes to vinify them. "You are starting a difficult journey; the land has never created wealth for anyone," Riccardo claimed, but the stubborn Bruno and Marcello had no doubts: "We are one hundred percent for the land; the winery does matter a little, but great wines are made with the grapes." They began to dream of labels that carry the name of the vineyard and also feature its photograph: "So that those who drink that wine have the vineyard from which it comes in front of their eyes. The vineyard is history; the names of the hills remain over time, they do not change, and this reinforces the quality and credibility of the wines produced here. You can search for, visit, and touch a vineyard, always." In 1986, The Wine Spectator, perhaps the most influential American magazine in the world of wine, featured the two Langhe brothers on the cover, calling them the Barolo Brothers. Bruno and Marcello were under 50, but they did not let themselves be overwhelmed by what is an official consecration, to which everyone aspires but few manage to achieve. Today they have remained true to themselves, never stopping dreaming and fighting for a just goal. In the meantime, the Langa has grown with them and with those, like them, who place the name of the land that has given them life and accompanied them throughout their lives before their own name.
