Champagne Extra Brut 'Ouvrage' Grand Cru (boxed) - Lallier

Champagne 'Ouvrage' Grand Cru by Lallier is is part of the Icons Collection and it's a blend of Champagne Grands Crus (30% chardonnay, 70% pinot noir). This artisan cuvée uses the traditional method of uncorking with cork, which allows you to benefit from the aromaticity offered by the gaseous exchanges between the cork stopper and the cellar air during maturation on the yeasts for 5 years. Disgorgement takes place "à la volée" as tradition dictates so that the aromas and textures of the wine, combined with a delicate and creamy effervescence, make it possible to achieve a very low dosage. The nose is very elegant and complex, a true nectar.

THE MAISON

The first bottle of Champagne Lallier takes us back to the early 1900s. We are in fact in 1906 and René Lallier joined marriage with the daughter of important French vignerons, founding the current maison in Aÿ. These are the years of the rise for this fantastic terroir, recognized and classified in 1936 as the "Gran Cru" Village in Champagne.

Years pass and it is the turn of René-James Lallier, grandson of the founder decided to follow in the footsteps of his long-lost grandfather. The challenge is of the important ones, René opts for a concrete turnaround for the entire production line, modernizing the old-fashioned plants and cellars. These are the years in which a very young Francis Tribaut joined Renè for the first time in the management of vineyards as an oenological consultant. We arrive in 2004 with the Champagne Lallier now known and appreciated all over the world.

René-James due to age limitation decides to cede the property to a trusted and experienced person. Many come forward, but the choice falls logically on Francis Tribaut, who has since graduated from the University of Dijon. The precise purpose: to remain in the Olympus of French bubbles. He will succeed perfectly.

In the current production line we have the "permanent collection" formed by classic labels, which includes the excellent R.013, Blanc de Blancs, Grand Rosé. There is an exclusive "memory collection", represented by the prestigious Grand Cru Millesime 2008. Complete the picture "Ouvrage" real diamond point of the house. The art of producing great Champagne goes above all from the obsessive care towards the details of each phase of production starting from the raw material, the grapes.

Also the number of bottles is meticulously calculated at the table, the result of research and studies on the territory. "Less is more" echoes in the cellars of Oger, production stops in fact at 400,000 bottles a year.
